Sami Curtain Advertisement: Advance A4 Size Banner Ad Plugin
We’re excited to announce that Sami Curtain Advertisement is now live on the WordPress.org Plugin Directory. It’s a free plugin that adds a gently moving curtain to a corner of your site — one that opens into a full advertisement when clicked, without the intrusiveness of a traditional popup.
Why we built it
Most ad plugins fall into one of two camps: banners that blend in and get ignored, or popups that interrupt visitors the moment they land on a page. We wanted something in between — an ad placement that draws the eye through subtle, continuous motion, but only opens when a visitor actually chooses to engage with it.
That’s the idea behind the curtain concept: a small, animated fold sits quietly in a corner of the page. It moves just enough to catch attention. Click it, and the full advertisement slides in from the opposite side of the screen, framed and centered, while the background dims.
What’s included
- Three curtain/carpet themes — Royal Satin, Theatre Velvet, and Persian Carpet — each with its own animated artwork
- Left or right placement, with the advertisement always sliding in from the opposite side
- Customizable clickable areas — draw and resize an invisible hotspot over your existing banner artwork, or add a visible generated button
- Optional transparent logo with independent position and visibility controls for the curtain and the ad
- Built-in local analytics — impressions, opens, unique session opens, closes, and link clicks, all stored in your own WordPress database
- No external services — no third-party analytics account, tracking pixel, or API key required
Getting started
Installation takes a few minutes:
- Install and activate Sami Curtain Advertisement from Plugins → Add New.
- Open Sami Curtain Advertisement → Ad Editor.
- Upload your banner and, optionally, a transparent logo.
- Pick a curtain design, colors, and a side.
- Select a clickable area on your banner or add a visible button.
- Set your destination URL, enable the plugin, and save.
Your analytics dashboard starts collecting data immediately — no setup required.
Privacy by default
All tracking happens locally. Nothing is sent to Ping Booster or any third party, and the optional “Powered by Ping Booster” credit is disabled by default — you’re never required to display it.
