We are pleased to announce the release of Auto Ping Booster Free version 7.0.1. This maintenance update focuses on stability, security, accurate metadata handling, and more reliable communication with IndexNow-compatible search engines.
The manual IndexNow submission system has been repaired by correcting the connection between its JavaScript, AJAX security nonce, and PHP processing. Website owners can now submit their internal URLs directly from the WordPress dashboard.
Automatic IndexNow notifications have also been improved. Instead of delaying the WordPress publishing process while waiting for a remote response, notifications are now queued through WordPress Cron. This provides a smoother publishing experience while continuing to notify supported search engines about new or updated public content.
Version 7.0.1 also introduces important XML sitemap improvements. Sitemap settings now save correctly, and administrators can control whether categories, tags, and WooCommerce products are included. Disabling the sitemap now properly prevents its XML output. The custom robots.txt editor has also been restored, allowing users to append their own directives to WordPress’s virtual robots.txt file.
Metadata management received another major correction. Auto Ping Booster now uses one consistent system for SEO titles, meta descriptions, and canonical URLs. Compatibility with metadata created by version 7.0.0 has been preserved. The update also prevents duplicate canonical and metadata tags and avoids interfering when Yoast SEO, Rank Math, or All in One SEO is active.
Additional improvements include stronger URL validation, safer JSON settings imports, corrected Free-versus-Pro information, improved UTF-8 compatibility, and clearer external-service disclosures.
Auto Ping Booster 7.0.1 is available through the WordPress plugin repository. Existing users can update directly from their WordPress dashboard.
